Q:How would you define the key milestones towards the periodical success of QLC Chain? What is the goal of QLC Chain?
Allen: When the ecosystem is formed. You can imagine that (1) operators deploy QLC chain based billing system and value add service solution. (2) users download the q-wallet for the plan including anti-calling and data traffic for activation, subscription and top up. (3) users can save and encrypt the message/video/wechat data in their smartphones for credit exchange. (4) All these behaviors are based on the QLC Chain trusted communication. We are doing our best to make it happen.
I think the critical points are persistance and community support.
Q: Can you tell us more about the Oracle Nodes, pls hat purpose do they have in the network in particular, and how are they incentivized, what will be the staking requirements if any?
Allen: Yes, Oracle Nodes are necessary for many blockchain projects. For QLC Chain, the oracle nodes are used for supporting two parts. One is the communication network application (for example the settlement of A2P SMS among inter carriers). The other is for the QLC Chain based DeFi application in 2020.
Oracle Nodes operation requires QLC token staking.
Q: What functions will they perform and how will that fit into the greater QLC ecosystem? Will these nodes be a separate need for community members to manage along with mining nodes & voting nodes, and staking?
Allen: As you know, QLC Chain aims to build a QLC Chain based communication network management platform which includes addressing resource, security and billing. As long as we have the communication network and QLC Chain combined, the network resource can be processed as an on-chain asset. The oracle node will act as the data input for the resource ownership and relative market information.
The oracle node can be integrated into a voting node and independent node as well. and community members need to stake QLC tokens for the oracle node.
Q: The new roadmap mentions “Q-wallet to support DeFi supermarket”. What do you mean by this?
Allen: DeFi is a main trend for blockchain applications. Not only are there more and more DeFi applications on Ethereum blockchain, but also on other public chains such as Tron and Polkadot. So the Q-Wallet DeFi supermarket means all the blockchain based DeFi products can be ranked and accessed through Q-wallet hyper application. It is a navigation entrance to the DeFi product.
A DeFi supermarket will be integrated into Q-Wallet.
Q: Please explain what the Defi production ranking is.
Allen: DeFi products such as the loan product, have different rates and repayment times. The production ranking means we can rank these products according to different rates and repayment times from low to high, or from long to short.
Q: If possible it would be nice to provide API data to Lennon (who is the community supporter and the official Telegram group admin) via Telegram to add on the website QLCchain-QGas.com.
Allen：You can have all this information from QLC Chain ledger analysis. It is public. You are very welcome to raise the request from https://GitHub.com/QLCchain/ to pass it on to the dev team.
Q: Will it be possible to provide the Application Programming Interface API of the Confidant? It may be enough to share the code of how the Confidant-app access to the files in the Confidant.
Allen: Yes, you can post this request on our GitHub page. We will add it to the development plan.
The entire Confidant code is open source and we hope to see community developers developing on the Confidant for different use cases. For example the PC version, the Email signature version and encrypted vault for enterprises.
Q: What is the maximum storage Confidant has and how much will it cost to upload there for app users those who don’t own Confidant.
Allen: The Confidant storage depends on the configuration of the Confidant node. The node operator decides the relative cost.
Q: Does the encryption storage in the Confidant mean that who stole a Confidant will find the Files Stored in the Hard disk are encrypted?
Allen: YES, it is
Q: Will there be possibility to access Confidant with FTP? More info about how will QLC Chain 2FA works?
Allen: So far Confidant has no plans to support FTP, because the Confidant nodes communicate with a P2P protocol. 2FA is our QLC chain based solution. We will add more information about it to our website.
Q: About the QLC staking for phone contacts mentioned in the Roadmap. Can I stake 50.000 QLC for a business partner contact, then he has a supply of QGas on their q-wallet for using the anti-fraud service?
Allen: It is a good suggestion .You can post this on our GitHub page https://GitHub.com/QLCchain/go-QLC, we will arrange the discussion and development plan.
Q: Will it also be possible to send QGas to phone contacts who have Q-Wallet without knowing their wallet address?
Allen: You will be able to send QGas or QLC with the phone number in the future, it is in the pipeline.
2. Growing partnership
Q: What are you guys doing to increase the adoption of the QLC token this year and the years to come, are you guys trying to make partnerships?
Allen: Below are the use cases where QLC and QGas are or will be massively adopted:
1. Antifraud communication — Using QLC token, you can stake it for your network resources on QLC Chain. for example the email address or IP address, whether it can be trusted or not.
2. Network resource exchange — You can use QGas for the IP rental service or bandwidth resource.
3. Top up service — Using QLC token you can top up you mobile plan in China/Indonesia/Singapore.
4. Money transfer — You can use QLC token for the online SMS remittance.
5. Voting and Mining — Using QLC token you can stake it for the QLC Chain voting and mining nodes and contribute to the security capabilities of the ecosystem
6. IP ownership claim — Using QLC token , you can encrypt the information on your phone and claim it as your asset for the paid service.
7. Network billing — Using the QLC token, operators can setup the settlement service for various communication services including SMS/Voice/Data bandwidth
8. Network Security — Using the QLC token, communication service provider can setup anti-DDos attack and phishing attack protection.
Yes, we welcome partnerships including market and development. If you have a potential partner to introduce, send me an email. We have a reward plan for the introduction.
Q: Is there a plan to work on the Middle East market?
Allen: Yes, we are looking for collaborations with middle-east market partners. If you have any channels and resources to introduce , please let us know. We have a reward plan in place for this partner introduction.
Q: What are you most excited about on the roadmap? How do you feel about the current market conditions and how will it affect QLC Chain?
Allen: For me, I am excited about the network resource function part. because it is more fundamental to DeFi and settlement service.
So far, QLC chain is the leader in the combined communication and blockchain area, and the requirement from operators and SMS aggregators is increasing. This is very critical for us in 2020.
Q:Which 2 mobile operators are you going to implement for the A2P sms settlement platform?
Allen: Sorry, since we signed an NDA with them, the names can not be disclosed now. It will be announced when the implementation is ready.
Q: Do u have any plan to improve QLC and QGas liquidity by adding more exchanges , if yes share it please
Allen: Yes, however, the compliance of exchanges is very important to us. We don’t think it is worth being listed on non-compliant exchanges.
Q: Are you in contact with any telco providers in EU?
Allen: Yes, we are talking with a tier 1 operator in the EU to build the collaboration around the QLC chain based settlement service.
Q: What about Dyxnet? Are you still working together to adopt Confidant station? What is your feeling about the acceptance of your token from mobile carriers? Are they open for your solution or do they try to find ways to solve their problems without using a public chain and tokens? What about marketing? What about a new exchange for QGas? When will you launch qdex? How much on chain transactions did you precalculate after final launch of your SMS platform What do you think how much QGas will this platform consume each day?
Allen: Yes, we are still working together with Dyxnet on Confidant solution enterprise adoption.
The acceptance of QLC token for mobile carriers depends on different regulation environments. We can figure out different methods to bridge the operator blockchain requirement and QLC token.
Most of them are planning to setup the alliance chain for their service. However, it doesn’t matter because the alliance chain can have interoperability with the public chain.
In 2020, the marketing plan will focus more on compliance, for exchanges/liquidity.
Although we need more estimation, we know the transaction number will increase significantly.
Q: What partners have you been working with the most over the last two quarters and what new or existing partners are you most excited to work with in the next two quarters, and what can we expect from these partnerships?
Allen：We have built a collaboration with two operators in the last two quarters. In the next two quarters, we have the chance to build a collaboration with more tier 1 operators in the EU.
Q: Will there be any public statements from one of your partners about the collaboration in the future or will your business stay hidden behind Montnets?
Allen: Operators are interested in the QLC Chain based settlement service. It can save cost for operators through network operation automation. Based on this requirement, QLC Chain is building a platform for global communication service providers. So the operators and communication service providers host QLC/QGas not for the mining/voting rewards. They host QLC/QGas for the utility purpose.
Q: Do you have any prognosis for the token value of QGas within time x, for example, based on the total possible supply of QGas, compared to the value that needs to be covered by the token? Also under the influence of the upcoming SMS billing and clearance system?
Allen: QLC Team is doing our best to explore the adoption of QGas in the communication industry and services. Communication is a huge market which includes not only telecom service , voice/SMS/Data, but also includes the application data storage, exchange, authentication and distribution. So the QGas value depends on how many markets we can occupy.
So far in the network settlement service, we are making big progress and more and more operators are sending us requests to discuss collaboration.
Q: How do you make sure that QLC capitalises on partnerships ? Is there a plan to make sure that QLC is visible with some of the largest industry players ? How do you make institutional investors, VCs, join the project and buy the token? Can you update on that QLC’s partnership with Montnets?
Allen: Because of the NDA requirement , We can’t disclose the industry player information. However we have a method of generating revenue from the partnership. We are doing business, not devotion for free.
I think for every investor no matter institutional or individual, the adoption value is common value. So we don’t worry about it .
The process is in progress.
3. Use cases and industrial adoption
Q: Tell us more about the benefits of holding and using your token and can you tell us more about the new use cases that your token will have in the future?
- Antifraud communication — Using QLC token, you can stake it for your network resources on QLC Chain. for example the email address or IP address, whether it can be trusted or not.
- Network resource exchange — You can use QGas for the IP rental service or bandwidth resource.
- Top up service — Using QLC token you can top up you mobile plan in China/Indonesia/Singapore.
- Money transfer — You can use QLC token for the online SMS remittance.
- Voting and Mining — Using QLC token you can stake it for the QLC Chain voting and mining nodes and contribute to the security capabilities of the ecosystem
- IP ownership claim — Using QLC token , you can encrypt the information on your phone and claim it as your asset for the paid service.
- Network billing — Using the QLC token, operators can setup the settlement service for various communication services including SMS/Voice/Data bandwidth
- Network Security — Using the QLC token, communication service provider can setup anti-DDos attack and phishing attack protection.
These are just some of the use cases and examples of QLC token usage and their adoption is and will be supported in Q-wallet / Confidant / A2P SMS settlement platform in 2019–2020.
Q: How will Development of QLC Chain based Decentralized Oracle Nodes help?
Allen: QLC Chain V2.0 means QLC Chain features have been improved significantly. The purpose of QLC Chain V2.0 spec is to speed up QLC Chain adoption in the communication industry and individual communication services.
Development of oracle nodes for QLC Chain is a necessary part of the QLC Chain ecosystem. Many network resources and information needs to be processed by oracle nodes before feeding the smart contracts on QLC chain. For example, for the A2P SMS settlement application we are implementing now, the SMS price needs to be fed into the smart contract on QLC Chain.
Q: What is the purpose of decentralized pub-key infrastructure?
Allen: DPKI is used for the network authentication service (for example login service).
Q: How many users have taken advantage of the ‘top-up’ features that allow them to save 5% when using QLC for payment?? 🙂
Allen: So far we have approximately 30,000 crypto users using the Q-wallet application, with more than 3000 transactions on QLC Chain everyday.
4. Team operation
Q: Where do you get all the profits from? How do you reduce costs and maximize profits? Can you tell us how much your profits have been up to now?
Allen: Foundation has sponsored most of the cost for development and we have some income already almost breaking even.
